Selected results

3,274 people from the education sector were in 2015 involved in a variety of projects with the aim of raising the quality of education in the country, for example by teaching in the pupils’ mother tongue.

We supported the Nicaraguan human rights commission in 2015. As one of the results, 115 young people were trained as human rights defenders, thus enabling them to stand up for the rights of their communities today.

100 poor Nicaraguans, of whom 70 were women, received help in 2015 to start up small businesses, thus giving them a livelihood.
